MEC Motlhabane to restore and rebuild relations between communities, Police and Government in Ramokokastad

Following instabilities and lawlessness incidents that took place in Ramokokastad in the Moses Kotane Local Municipality, the North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management will lead a campaign that is geared to restore and rebuild relations between the communities, police and government.

As part of the activities, the MEC will lead a group of volunteers and communities on a cleaning campaign that is set to de-bush areas where there has been criminal elements within.

“After everything that took place in Ramokokastad, as the Department of Community Safety it is our responsibility to lay the foundation for restorative and begin to rebuild relationships,” says Motlhabane.

The Departmental MEC will be accompanied by the Moses Kotane Local Municipality Mayor, councilors, Traditional Leaders and all Community Organizations in the area.

Motlhabane will further launch the February Safety Month, outlining activities scheduled for the entire month across the Province.
